Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this hotel was like a mixed bag of treats. The rooms were AMAZING - super clean with a great view, but very small with the two single beds pushed together which made it a bit inconvenient. The service, while very helpful and accommodating, had a hiccup with a small and dirty shower. The location was a dream come true, right on Lake Myvatn with stunning views of the surrounding wildlife, but the lack of proper ventilation due to flies was a downside. The dining experience offered a good variety of options with scenic views, though some items were not refilled promptly. The facilities were decent overall.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The location was stunning, right next to the beautiful Lake Myvatn with amazing views; however, the rooms were extremely small and basic with no ventilation, and the dining was delightful but lacking certain options. The service was very friendly and helpful, and the facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel is situated in a lovely location with a view of lake Myvatn, just 30 seconds walking distance away from Myvatn attractions. The rooms are a bit small and noisy, but the dining experience is very good with a great variety of options. The service was accommodating, but there were issues with the check-out process. Overall, a convenient place close to the beautiful lake and nearby attractions.
The hotel had rooms that were smaller and older than expected, much like a hostel - very basic. The service was very attentive and supportive, even offering to wake us up in the middle of the night to see the Northern Lights. The location was outstanding, right at the lake Myvatn with amazing views. The dining experience was really good, with freshly baked bread being a highlight.
The hotel is in a picturesque location overlooking a beautiful lake, close to the hot spring baths and other attractions. The rooms are very small and the smell of sulfur lingers after showering, but the service is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The dining experience, though buffet style, lacks variety and freshness. Overall, a mixed experience in terms of facilities and value for money.
